Updated October 16th, 2026

Now that your website's Home and About pages have been updated, you'll want to review your website's SEO information, which includes Page SEO settings, content, and heading structure. If you're migrating from an old website, you'll also want to copy page content and set up redirects so that you don't lose domain authority. This guide helps you fine-tune your pages, so that your clinic's website is more discoverable and attracts the right audience when they search for your clinic online.

Before you start

You'll want to make sure you have Admin access to make changes to your Jane Websites website. You'll also want a clear understanding of your clinic’s key services, location, and offerings, and some time set aside to review each page.

How to Review Your Website's SEO

You'll go through each page, reviewing your content, heading structure, and Page SEO settings. Where helpful, you can generate suggested metadata with AI, customize it, and save your updates. You'll also want to copy over content and set up redirects if you're migrating your website.

Step 1: Review SEO Page Settings
Navigate to each page, review your SEO Page Settings, heading structure, and content.
For a full walkthrough of optimizing every page on your site, take a look at our page-by-page SEO guide for Jane Websites.

Step 2: Migrating Your Website Content
If you're moving over from an old website, you'll want to bring your existing content with you rather than starting from scratch. Moving content, recreating your main menu navigation, and setting up redirects correctly helps search engines recognize that your site's history and rankings should carry over, rather than treating your new site as a completely unknown domain.
To properly migrate your website, take a look at our guide on How to migrate your website to Jane Websites.

Step 3: Gather your DNS Settings (Migrating from another platform)
Before booking your Launch call, take a moment to gather your DNS records. If your website is managed by a website hosting platform that does not host your domain, you'll want to make sure all your existing records are gathered ahead of time. Missing records can lead to losing verification records tied to tools like Google Search Console, which can interrupt the SEO tracking and indexing you've already built up.

Use the template below to reach out to the support team of the company currently hosting your website:

'I'm in the process of migrating my website to a new website hosting platform and want to make sure I have a copy of DNS records. Could you please send me a full export of my current DNS records for [yourdomain.com]?

Specifically, I'm hoping to get:

  • Any A Records
  • Any CNAME Records
  • Any MX Records (for email)
  • Any TXT Records (including SPF, DKIM, or domain verification records)
  • Any other custom records tied to this domain

Please let me know if you need anything from me to process this request, and thank you in advance for your help'

That's Step 5! You’ve optimized your pages with targeted titles and engaging descriptions, which in turn boosts clarity for both patients and search engines.
