There are two types of contact forms you can add to Jane Websites: a built-in contact form that's ready to use right away, or a customized contact form which can be created using a third-party tool. This guide walks you through both options.
Before you start
You'll need Admin access to add or edit contact forms on Jane Websites. If you're adding a customized contact form, have your embed code from your third-party form creator ready before getting started.
How to add a Built In Contact Form
The steps below will show you how to add a built-in contact form block to any page on your clinic's website.
- Navigate to the page where you'd like the contact form to live (for example, your Contact page). Scroll to the location on the page where you'd like the form to appear.
- Click the Add Block
button on the left-hand side. - Scroll through the block options until you find Contact Form, then click it to add it to your page.
- To edit the form, click the Pencil icon
on the block. Once you've made your changes, click Update Block button to save your progress.
How to add an Customized Contact Form
If you need a more tailored form, you can embed one from a third-party provider like Hushmail or Hipaatyzer using a custom code block.
- First, navigate to the page where you'd like the contact form to exist on and scroll to the location on the page where you'd like the form to appear.
- Click the Add Block
button on the left-hand side. - Scroll through the block options until you find Custom Code, then click it to add it to your page.
- Click the Pencil icon
to open the code block editor. - Paste the embed code provided by your third-party contact form creator into the field.
- Click Update Block button to save your progress. Your form will now appear live on your page.
You're all set! Whether you went with the built-in form or a customized option, your contact form is now live and ready for submissions. You've now made it easier for patients to connect with your clinic directly.
Note
If you're using a third-party form creator, any changes to your form will need to be made in that tool, not in Jane Websites. Once changes are made, check to see if you need to update the embed code in your Custom Code block, as changes made in your form provider may not automatically reflect on your site.
